My Grandmother, the one who taught me to tat, helped with my knitting and baked bread every Saturday morning also created a book of poems clipped from local papers. While some have the Author listed some don’t and I have no way of knowing what paper, or even when these were collected. She put them in a scrap book, the pages are held together with paper brads and the book had some type of foil paper glued on the cover. Obviously, they meant a lot to her. The title page has a little girl feeding the baby chickens and the title “Requested Old Poems”. I plan on sharing these poems from a different era in a catogory called My Grandmother’s Clippings.
