How far does one have to go to be addicted to something? If the definition of addicted is “to occupy (oneself) with or involve (oneself) in something habitually or compulsively”, than I have to admit that I am addicted to knitting. On a recent road trip to Florida, I accidently left my knitting bag at home. We were too far into the trip to turn back (especially at today’s gas prices) and I bravely told my husband that I could make it, at least until be got to my brother’s and I could scout out a yarn store. We overnighted in Jacksonville. with dear friends, and started out the next morning for Cape Coral. We were about an hour into the drive when I went postal (as the saying goes). My wonderful husband stopped at the first Walmart we came to and patiently waited while I went in and bought yarn and needles. I made a sweater and hat for each of the boys in MN. Not a terrible addiction as addictions go but – yup – I am definitely addicted!
