I am seriously thinking of starting a little home business. Besides having some tax write-offs, it would give me some new challenges. I have had the opportunity, in the past to knit to order and also to do some rescue work on projects that friends have started and not been able to finish, or finished but not liked the way the item turned out. Most notably, I have repaired a friend’s crocheted bedspread, Mom was coming for a vist, the puppy had chewed holes in the bedspread and my friend had been putting the spread away because she did not want her Mom to know that the dog had damaged the spread that her Mom had worked so hard on. Mom had started to be supicious, since the spread was never on the bed. I also recently reworked the hood of a sweater that a friend had done for her daughter that had not turned out well. I finished a Scandinavian knit cardigan for a friend so she could give it to her daughter-in-law. I have also done a lot of trade offs for knitted sweaters to friends who didn’t knit but did crafts projects that I wanted (like doll making). I have enjoyed all of these projects, I hate to see time and energy wasted when, with a little experise, a project can be rescued.
